Fae's soul was separated from her body because of Jack, the dark alchemist.

Despite Fae's request to reverse this, Jack vehemently refused. 

He wants to conduct more experiments and observe how Fea's body and her split-off soul get along and how long she can survive in this form.

But it doesn't take long for her to realize that her soul is capable of more than it appears....
